Seed Sovereignty Day
The Freed Seed Federation is proud to present the 3rd annual Seed Sovereignty Symposium. The educational symposium will be accompanied by a Seed Swap, Variety Tasting and Sensory Analysis training, and round-table discussions about current projects to round out the day. We are also thrilled to offer an add-on, locally-sourced organic farm dinner this year for those that wish to stay later in the evening to further connect!
This annual symposium is focused on education about regional crop adaptation through participatory plant breeding and the skills necessary for on-farm seed production. This gathering aims to reach organic farmers, homesteaders, gardeners, and anyone interested in a strong, culturally appropriate food system for New England. The Freed Seed Federation works to preserve, improve, and diversify place-based, climate-resilient seed for the public domain.
